We here in the Halls of Rock Town are sometimes taken to task for being overly negative, snarky, hyper-critical, and all too often, just downright rude. As part of our collective efforts to bring a bit of sunshine and light to the world wide web, we occasionally make an extra effort effort to find something good to say about, you know, stuff that is clearly godawful.
It is in that spirit that we embark on yet another effort to bring some positivity to our proceedings. Please spend some quality time with the video above, then — if you can — please find something nice to say about it. You’ll feel a whole lot better, I promise you.

I’ve never heard of this guy, is he famous? Love the Morrissey moves, all that was missing was the gladdies stuffed down the trousers. Mozza could have modelled his quiff on that headpiece he wears for the first half of the song, which reminded me of Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting”, and when he whipped the badger off his bonce he looked just like Al Murray the Pub Landlord (a popular comedian around these parts).
I’m very partial to Morrissey, a limited amount of early to mid-70s Elton John and Al Murray the Pub Landlord, and even though the song did little to get the old toes tapping I would be surprised if Erasure didn’t have at least one of his records stashed away somewhere.
I love his hat, which is a nice little shout out to Idi Amin.
Isn’t there some drug that’s famous for giving you dry mouth so bad you find yourself sticking out your tongue alla time? I appreciate the fact that Zwol was so uninhibited that he freely betrayed his drug situation on German national TV.
I also (sincerely) appreciate the fact that Zwol clearly edited his performance thing for German TV. He took a mediocre song and delivered it in a way that the Hasselhoffians in that nation could certainly get behind. Way to go, Zwol!
So Zwol is Canadian, eh? Well, he’s more entertaining than Celine Dion or Bryan Adams.
I think it’s nice that Jim Carrey is clearly the man born to play Zwol in a biopic. Jim could use a hit movie.
Even though the audience has their backs to Zwol during the performance, by the end of the song, his spirited performance earns him an enthusiastic round of applause. Why? Moxie!
