Do you dare play the following Old Grey Whistle Test clip of ’70s sensations Stackridge? Are you ready to rock? Move aside The Hives, this is rock’s most dynamic performance!

When you’ve finished watching this clip, how about sharing the moment that truly blew your mind?

  1. I haven’t seen this much excitement since I saw Perry “Mr Relaxation” Como in concert

  2. BigSteve

The moment when I saw the ‘lap bass.’

  3. The cigarette and whiskey break.

  4. 2000 Man

I think the blue outline of a guy kicking on the wall in the background was far and away the most fascinating part of the video. The smoke break did remind me of The Tubes, but Fee messed it all up by talking and stuff.

  5. Ah Stackridge. I had the chance to see them in 1975 when they opened Elton John’s Wembley concert (hey, I was 16). I missed them because I arrived late. 30 years later they are booked to play at my local club, the Limelight in Crewe. I think I will put as much enthusiasm in going to see them as they put into this performance.
