Every time I say something nice about Rocks, someone shows me why I think Aerosmith sucks. I saw them back in the 70’s and as bad as that clip was, I think they were even worse back then. Maybe they were exactly as bad as that, but I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they got better.
I always thought they did a great live show. (and this you-tube ain’t bad really)
My only issue with them is that they have a keyboard player / harmony singer and they hide him behind the curtain side stage. If you have bad seats on stage right you can see him playing in the corner by himself and singing along side Mr. Tyler on every song. I wish they would just put him on stage next to the drummer. (and he plays the synth horns – sounding VERY synth-y)
Saw ’em in 1987, 1990, 1994, 1996 and had a great time – did old and new, hits and deep tracks
Ugh.

AND they brought in professional songwriters to help them with a lot of their hits.
I won’t diss them completely; they had their moments. I’d prefer it if they’d called it a day after about 1993, though.
