Dec 252014
I had originally intended to solicit new comments from participants in The Greatest Rock Story Ever Told for this holiday season, but, you know, life got in the way. Toddlers.
Anyhow, I didn’t want this day to pass without a gift from me to you of some sort, so I present you with this piece of found Rock art, entitled “Rock and Roll Eruption.” I’m hoping it can spark some discussion. In fact, I’m hoping it will become the new, official Rock Town Hall Theme. It is clearly superior to the current one.
“Rock, I cannot understand you” — truer words have never been spoken.
Yours, etc.,
HVB
Rock, I love you.
Rock, I cannot destroy you.
Happy New Year! Hopefully the corrected link to this track will stick. If you had trouble hearing this earlier please try again. HVB, this anthem makes me sick in the stomach – in a good way!
Fellow Townspeeps, I rarely pimp my own posts, but I assure you this track is more than worth 2:15 of your time. I found it going through an old stack of cassettes containing incredibly strange music that floated through my life about 30 years ago. It is my earnest hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. My wife and I both agree it’s the stuff of demented genius.
I listened to it the other day, and it’s weird. I don’t know where I sit on it. Probably in the “Well, that’s enough for me” camp. It made me laugh, though.
