Hey — what’s up with R.E.M.’s new single “Mine Smell Like Honey” — are they trying wrest the mantle of best fart song from The Cranberries? “Did you have to . . . . let it Linger?”
I have my hight school talent show from that year on DVD (11th grade) My band looked kinda like this with the mullets and the poofy shirts. We one original song and two covers: Jason & The Scorchers’ I Can’t Help Myself and I.O.U by The Replacements which was kinda subversive for a suburban High School that had “Lovin Every Minute Of It” by Loverboy as the Prom song (and a few years after that song had been a hit) I can’t tell if we really got the “your’re all F*#*$d part into the mic or not. Will have to post this soon
Do it, j2! That sounds fun. As much as I could empathize with the main band in this video, what really intrigued me was the opening seconds, with the tail end of those three women. I want those first 12 seconds of that one woman dancing on a loop. I suspect great minds like alexmagic could read a lot into her sway.
As those of you with iPods know, sometimes it shows the wrong cover for the album you’re playing. I’ve just discovered that when I play Pet Sounds my new iPod, it shows the cover of Still Cruisin’.

That’s funny…and could be the theme of a new Last Man Standing!
