OK, I got to this link, which is the same as what you posted but for some reason didn’t work. Maybe they’ve got a bad attitude and are blocking direct links from the Hall?
Not unless this is a link to an article from an alternate reality in which the break up occurred 25 years ago. On the other hand, the thought of an alternate reality in which 25 years’ worth of Michael Stipe solo records exist is none too enticing, either.
I’ve become intrigued by that the Hello Music link that has been appearing on the right hand side of the site. It’s sort of like a Woot for music gear. I’ve price checked a couple of the things that they have had listed and their prices are significantly cheaper. It kind of makes me wish I needed something…
My wife and I heard that last night–the baseball game or something was on in one room and we were talking in the other when all of a sudden….so we looked over at the tv and said, collectively, “huh.”

Very Nuggety!
Wow, and the drummer was the lead singer.
The promo picture is so Monkees, isn’t it?
Wonder if this movie project is getting anywhere:

R.E.M. break up. Are you happy now, Bad Attitude Club?

Have they reformed already? I’m getting a “page not found” message at that link.
Hit refresh. Give it a minute or two. I think the server keeps crashing, maybe because their website’s suddenly getting more users.

I’ll have to say, the news is a little sad. Who is left from that time in my life to continue to torment me?

Well, you know how it is, give the people what they want…

This was not a paid endorsement, by the way.
Apropos of nothing in particular, I just heard the Kinks’ ‘Got To Be Free’ (from the Lola album) on a Prius commercial.
