I was @ something called the Used Book Superstore a couple of weekends ago. They also sell vinyl & CDs & was going through the CDs & I found the 2-CD Police best of from 2007 for only $2.99. I was rather pleasantly surprised. Besides the usual radio staples, I also remember many of the Deep Tracks in the set, which I remember listening to on WBCN back in the day.
Loved that clip with Don Cherry. Impressive that he followed this up by coaching the Bruins to several Stanley Cup finals in the 70s. (“Too many men on the ice!”)

Problem is, disc 1 from 1979, so great; disc 2 from 1983, so dull.

Hey, just wondering: Where is tonyola? In and around the lake? Come out, come out, tony, you are missed.
Agreed, personal notes to both him and Happiness Stan are on my To Do list.
Speaking of Tonyola, one of Slate’s political staffers, Dave Weigel, is writing a history of prog.

Hey, it was only $2.99. It’s all good!
I remember Don Cherry too. Do you remember the dog he had w/him. I think he still does Hockey Night in Canada.
Did I miss who the mystery date was from the last shut in? The one with the very English sounding singer. Who was that?
The reveal is running late. One of the members of that band has agreed to a brief interview. I’m way behind on contacting him. Maybe tonight.
