I don’t remember what this is for, but I just saw this commercial and I thought it was cool. It looks like it’s two years old, but maybe it just didn’t play in my market.
I note the passing of Jackie Lomax. He is probably as well known for being on the Apple label as for anything else. I always remember his album Three being in every cut out bin back in the early ’70s. Which made Wild Man Fischer’s first single “Go To Rhino Records” that much funnier for the line “you can get Herb Alpert and Jackie Lomax for forty cents”.
I know there are a lot of Philly area RTH-ers. I don’t think too many go back as far as I do and so maybe it will only be me (& Geo) who will appreciate these slices of “underground”/free form FM radio – WMMR from the very early ’70s:
Mod, I’ve had just about enough of your nostalgia. First, you play King Harvest on SNSI, which I had forgotten about until your show. Now, you have to play the theme song to Lidsville, which I had successfully forgotten about until NOW! You are going to remind me of some of my childhood nightmares that were undoubtably fostered by watching too much Sid and Marty Krofft.
I hope you all aren’t offended by my Links Linkerson-like behavior of late, but I do hope a link like this fosters discussion. I have many questions about many of the bands on this bill.
I’m not offended at all, Oats. The All-Star Jam is the place to share. If you were the real Links, however, your links would focus on Billboard stories about the latest downturn in the music industry.

What’s next? Land of the Lost????
Lou Barlow is amusingly conflicted on the subject of Don Henley.

Entertaining!
Gotta love the mention of the Don Felder book!

BTW, what’s up with your partner-in-crime, the Magic Man? Is he actually that pissed at HVB?
