Yeah, you can’t top The Manchurian Candidate and From Here to Eternity as far as I’m concerned.
Apart from his bravura performance in Roadhouse, John Doe is probably the most one-note of all the actors on that list. And I’m pretty sure Boogie Night is the only other watchable movie he was ever in.
I VODd The Prestige last night. Someone told me that Tesla was one of the characters. I have a Tesla fascination so I dropped the $3.95 and checked it out. What I didn’t know was that Bowie played Tesla. Though not nearly an award winning performance, it was I think Bowie’s best attempt at mainstream acting. No Sinatra though.
HA! Thats great.
Nice write-in votes for Sinatra!
Mr. Show! Awesome;)! Thanks for posting that – still laughing!

How could I have forgotten Snake?!?!?! My man! My brother in beef! I may need to wipe out my sincere vote for Cher and vote again.

I say: Man With a Golden Arm! Primo. AND killer soundtrack.
Have you guys seen Elvis Costello’s new Lexus commercial? Now that’s acting.
He’s in a big ad in the current issue of The New Yorker, but I can’t remember what he’s shilling — I don’t think it’s Lexus.
