I bird shat on me first thing yesterday morning. I knew it was going to be a good day. Let’s hope today brings more of the same, preferably without the bird droppings. Regardless, I’m going to celebrate the magic of Richard Baskin. Who or what do you want to celebrate today?

The current poll reminds me of something shocking I witnessed on the streets of New York yesterday. The family and I took a day trip to NYC to check out an ’80s NYC music exhibit at MOMA, shop, walk around, and eat dinner at our favorite restaurant. During the course of our NY day I saw 3 businessmen in their 30s with “business-appropriate ponytails”: a wavy “Piglet ponytail” on a bald guy, a tightly pulled, blond ponytail serving as a combover, and the most shocking of all, a long “samurai” ponytail. Is this part of the ’80s revival?
