Mr. Mod, what’s with the new motto “governing the discourse of rock since 2007”? I prefer the old one, as it was the second thing that caught my eye w/this site after the spiffy Martin Newell interview. This new motto sounds a bit pompous. If you insist on having a new motto, it should be something a bit more Stiff Records like.
A keen observation, Diskojoe – and much appreciated! There are plans to give the old Ron Wood motto its rightful place on the site. We’re using this super-pompous motto for now as a means of making it crystal clear to newcomers what this place is all about. Hopefully, once anyone’s here, the tongue-in-cheek nature of the claim becomes evident. If only we can develop our mottos over time as successfully as those developed by Stiff.
“Spectacle: Elvis Costello With …,” an hourlong show set to debut on the Sundance Channel on Wednesday.
