That’s a well-produced album in a non-gimmicky, unobtrusive way, if you ask me, but I doubt that the technical aspects of making the album will be anywhere near the focus. Don’t you expect the doc to cover the HEROIC STRUGGLE of the ARTIST who won’t back down and all that jazz? Wasn’t there some protracted legal hold up on the making of that album? Was this the one for which Petty argued against the label raising the price?
Me, I can’t wait for the “influence” portion of the doc, where some irrelevant twit yammers about how it was such an influence on them. I love that part. Every time.
