We here in the Halls of Rock Town are sometimes taken to task for being overly negative, snarky, hyper-critical, and all too often, just downright rude. As part of our collective efforts to bring a bit of sunshine and light to the world wide web, we occasionally make an extra effort effort to find something good to say about, you know, stuff that is clearly godawful.

It is in that spirit that we embark on yet another effort to bring some positivity to our proceedings. Please spend some quality time with the video above, then — if you can — please find something nice to say about it. You’ll feel a whole lot better, I promise you.

I look forward to your comments. Just remember, if you can’t say anything nice about this video… please don’t say anything at all.

  1. His drum kit is tastefully restrained when compared to Terry Bozzio’s:

  2. He appears to be pointing his drumsticks at the audience only when necessary.

Also, I would have loved this 20 years ago when pop punk was harder to find.

  3. This guy must have really strong upper body muscles. Imagine if you had to hold your arms up in the air that much when you were Crowd Pleasing like a banshee. Your arms also get tired when you play those huge drum sets with stuff mounted way up in the air!

I lost interest in the video after a few seconds, (I’m not really a music with visual Magician), but based on the audio, well, not quite sure how to admit to this, but I think that is absolutely fantastic! It’s like bubblegum Motorhead, or the Bonzos taking off Nirvana. Don’t mind that at all.

It’s awful nice of a Japanese guy to have a China cymbal, despite the cultural confusion which could result.

It’s great the way he gets a full band sound out of just the drums.
