  1. Threadjacking momentarily, but…man, has there ever been a more thorough pitching meltdown in a World Series game than the Rockies in the fifth tonight? I lost track of how many runs were walked in!

Franklin Morales’ ERA for the game: 94.50

I’m rooting for the Sox this series, for sure, but I need to see some more entertaining baseball next time out!

Great One, you were not threadjacking at all. I WAS THERE! My debut at Fenway. Very cool park! Generally cool vibe (although strangely devoid – as I find in any ballpark outside my hometown – of the spirited bad vibes of a Phillies crowd). My only real complaint is that, in 1915, ballpark architects did not think that you could angle the seats a bit so that people sitting down the right field line wouldn’t have to watch the entire game looking over their shoulder. More later, but I really liked Fenway and got a better feel for its weird dimensions.

Ron Perlman was an odd choice for a Boston spokesperson.

I need to do some research on this Perlman character. I’ve stumbled across a half dozen of his heartfelt, solo, acoustic performances on YouTube.

  6. I actually felt kind of bad for the folks in the stands. Not only were you getting that persistent slow, steady, not quite enough to call the game rain falling on you, but after the fifth inning when both teams checked out of the game along with probably 85% of the TV and radio audience (I came in here to the office to do some work, Charity went to sleep), you still had to sit there and watch them run out the string because by god, you’d missed half a rent payment for those tickets and you were gonna get your use out of them.

Seriously, how many people had left after the seventh inning stretch?

At least 2 people left after the 7th inning stretch. I’m glad I stayed that long, though, because I learned that “God Bless America” singer Ashanti is not only a singer, a dancer, a humanitarian, and an actor but an AUTHOR to boot! Mwall, how’s her poetry?

  8. Not quite as good as her issue of Playboy.

I don’t think they mentioned her modeling work when she was introduced.
