That’s hilarious, Sammy. I remember that commercial and that song will get stuck in my head for days now. I like how the dancing girl around 28 seconds gets a serious case of fire crotch from the effect they used. Dorothy Fuldheim was an institution here. She’s dead now. Gib Shanley was the sports guy and he’s dead, too. He once burned an Iranian flag on the air. I still watch channel five news most of the time because it’s on at 11:00 instead of 10:00. I wonder why anyone ever saved that commercial?
Wish I’d known about Coldplay ripping off Cat Stevens last night, when the middle school choir at my son’s school sang that Coldplay song, “Viva la Vida.” I would have been outraged!

I like Yoko and usually defend her, but she already put John’s bloody eyeglasses on the cover of her solo album that came out after his death. Give it a rest, huh? Saving the bag of bloody clothes, to say nothing of displaying them, is seriously creepy.
Yusef / Cat is kinda joking. He does not plan to sue or claim that there is any REAL plagiarism. I think he just made an offhanded comment and it was turned in to a story.
Satriani on the other hand is super-pissed that a song that sounds just like his is a Grammy winning hit. (and serious money maker)
Not sure that Coldplay stole it intentionally (or every heard the song before this hoopla) but they are too close to dismiss without a hearing (pun intended)
