QUICK: Do you know who Randy “Xeno” Hogan is? No Googling; you might land on his Wikipedia page. That’s right, even Randy “Xeno” Hogan, the original singer for Cheap Trick before they ever recorded anything, has a Wikipedia page.

It’s time Rock Town Hall gets a Wikipedia page! If Randy “Xeno” Hogan is worthy, aren’t we?

There was a time when the Wikipedia page for the song “Dancing in the Street” made reference to our designation of the Ja-Bo version as Rock Crime of the Century. That was important stuff we determined, and we were credited duly. Then Wikipedia wiped that reference from its “Dancing in the Street” page. The Italian version of that page, however, retains the citation: “Crimine rock del secolo.” God bless my paisani!

We’re cited elsewhere on Wikipedia as well, such as the Magical Mystery Tour page. If we’re valid enough to be cited on Wikipedia we’re worthy of our own Wiki page. Hell, Randy “Xeno” Hogan’s got his own Wiki page.

I don’t think I can launch our own page on Wikipedia, and even if I could I’d probably screw it up. I challenge YOU, The People, to do The People’s work and get Rock Town Hall its own Wikipedia page. While you’re at it, can you restore our Ja-Bo citation? The Rock Crime of the Century designation is the result of our collective blood, sweat, and tears. We have earned the credit!

The problem is going from RTH not having a Wikipedia page to having one. In trying to isolate the moment of the page’s creation, we subdivide time into smaller and smaller divisions, awaiting the moment of creation. But instead, that moment never arrives due to these divisions being infinite and thus RTH never gets a Wikipedia page.

  3. Hey, I clicked on the RTH link in the Magical Mystery Tour wikipedia page and it said Page Not Found. Bad form…

  4. I was able to fix the link. Thanks!

Well done, cher! I got it. (Xeno => “Zeno’s paradox” which includes subdividing time so as to make reaching the destination impossible. Fortunately, Calculus shows why it is possible for RTH to have a Wikipedia page.)
