Woo.

Woo.

Which rock vocalist says “woo!” the most? Backup vocalists or secondary band members saying “woo-oo-oo” behind the lyric don’t count. I’m looking for the lead singer guy or gal who says “woo!” with the greatest frequency.

Can anybody beat Diamond Dave Lee Roth in this category? I have my doubts.

I look forward to your responses.

  1. I haven’t run the numbers, but I would suspect Michael Jackson give Diamond Dave a run for his money. I can’t think of that song “The Way You Make Me Feel” without hearing Michael’s “Woo!”

Maybe later today I’ll get a chance to actually count them.

Hm. Yeah, MJ may be the king of pop woo. But I was really looking for somebody in the rock woo milieu.

I don’t know if anyone can beat Freddy “Boom Boom” Cannon….here’s “Tallahassee Lassie” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ-2Ds2sxqs but I think he uses “woo” in every song on his “The Explosive Freddy Cannon” LP.
