By playing guitar for Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, KISS, and most especially on Lou Reed’s Rock ‘n Roll Animal, this guy had an immeasurable yet under-the-radar impact on me during my musically formative years. He was a GREAT man.
Ah, you beat me to it cdm. I was just putting together a few words about this unsung guitar hero of rock. What I know most about the man is that he never quit. He was always up to something, contributing here and there on songwriting projects or as in the studio. And he was always available for an interview or as a surprise guest at shows.

All the more impressive when you factor in his writing Der Ring des Nibelungen and all those other operas. What versatility!
Rock n’ Roll Animal was the first Lou Reed I had listened to outside of ‘Wild Side’…I had no idear that wasn’t how his music was sposed to sound!
