Ever see a musician in concert (ie, in the flesh – not on video) who was as stoned as Sly Stone appears to be in this Midnight Special performance with Tom Jones? For that matter, ever see a musician in concert with as much as chest hair as Jones displays?
That TJ, he’ll take a brother’s hair style yet he doesn’t seem comfortable taking a brother’s hand.

Is Sly stoned, or is he laughing/squirming at/with/about Mr.Jones? Here in the privacy of my own lair, I found myself behaving very much as Sly was, every time Tom spoke, sang or moved.
